TEIJO NATIONAL PARK
Teijo National Park is one of southern Finland’s most beautifully varied wilderness areas — a landscape of lakes, forests, rocky hills, marshes and quiet shoreline trails. Just steps or a short walk from Villa Seaview, the park offers a peaceful, spacious and easily accessible nature experience for hikers, cyclists and slow travellers of all levels.
Why Teijo is Special
Teijo National Park is unique because it brings together an exceptional variety of nature in a compact, easy-to-explore area:
- lakes, rocky shores and forest ridges shaped by the Ice Age
- quiet wetlands and bird-rich marshes
- old-growth style forest areas and untouched mossy paths
- coastline and sea views near the ironwork villages
- rich wildlife — deer, foxes, birds and occasional moments of true wilderness
You can experience several different landscapes in a single walk, or spend multiple days exploring the park at your own pace. Villa Seaview sits right next to the park — more on the Stay page.
Trails for 1–3 Days of Exploring
Teijo has a generous network of well-marked trails ranging from short 1–3 km loops to longer 10–12 km day routes. The paths are safe, clearly signposted and suitable for most fitness levels.

Wildlife & Nature Moments
Teijo’s wildlife is surprisingly rich. Encounters with deer, foxes and forest birds are common, especially on the quieter trails.
In Hamarinjärvi you’ll find a wetland area with nesting and migratory birds — a beautiful spot for early morning walks.
In some parts of the forest the atmosphere becomes almost primeval, with mossy boulders, old trees and stillness all around.

Fire Pits & Picnic Places
Along many trails you’ll find well-maintained fire pits, lean-tos and small resting spots. They are perfect for packed lunches, coffee breaks or simply enjoying the forest without hurry.
Firewood is available at designated sites, and the shelters are free to use.
